Get Regular Exercise

Increasing exercise can be very beneficial to getting a good night's sleep and can help the body in feeling refreshed for the next day.

Limit Caffeine & Alcohol Intake

Caffeine is well known to cause disturbances in sleeping patterns; try to reduce or cut out the consumption of caffeine based drinks in the afternoon and evenings. Additionally, alcohol can wreak havoc on the amount and quality of sleep each night. Try to set a limit to reduce or cut out alcohol.

Reduce Stress

Stress and emotional events can cause restless nights and greatly impact the ability to sleep. Meditation has been known to help with reducing stress and helping the mind rest. Even reading a book or listening to the radio can help to relax the mind and support winding down.

Set A Routine

There are many other factors that can affect sleep and having a routine in place can help to combat them. Limiting screen time before bed, having a good sleep environment (not sleeping in a chair) and going to bed around the same time each night can all help.

With love and care,
